Hi all,
 
You will not want to miss hearing this year's Dos Pueblos High School Jazz  
Choir!  This particular group is extremely talented, has a wonderful blend,  
and the scat soloists are excellent!  To top it off, this  year's songs are 
definite crowd-pleasers.
 
We hope to see many of you at our "Generations of Jazz" benefit concert on  
Saturday, May 27.  The concert, which will feature the DP Jazz Choir and  Combo 
plus the infamous and incomparable Ike Jenkins All-Star Band, will be  held 
on Saturday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Santa Barbara High School Theater,  700 
E. Anapamu.  Tickets are $10 for students, $15 for adults.  Please  purchase 
tickets from your favorite current choir member or by  calling 805-683-6934 or 
e-mailing _tickets at dpjazz.org_ (mailto:tickets at dpjazz.org) .  This show  
promises to be a treat for all.  We are trying to raise enough money to  record 
and produce a new double CD album: Jazz on one CD,  Holiday/Classical/Special 
Music on the other.  Look for our new CD's  hopefully in time for the holidays!
 
On Tuesday, May 16, the DP Jazz Choir will be giving a live  preview 
performance on "Musical Cafe" from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Santa  Barbara public access 
Channel 17.  Please tune in!  If you would  like to help support the DP Jazz 
Choir, please come to our car wash on Saturday,  May 20 at the Mobil gas station on 
Glen Annie and Calle Real, right off Hwy  101.  The carwash will be going 
from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  You  can buy tickets ahead from choir members, or 
just show up at the carwash: $5 for  cars, $8 for vans/trucks.  What a deal!
